filter out all sorts of crud. K&N will tell you that up front. That's why they sell dust covers (different type of foam that is fitted to slip over the regular filter) for most of their filters. K&N filters are performance filters that are designed to increase airflow and boost performance while keeping major, engine-blowing, race-losing, chunks of gunk out of the engine. They are absolutely not designed to handle worksite dust conditions.
